EXECUTIVE COACH FOR WORSHIP LEADERS

Aaron’s heart is to help worship leaders (who lead songs) become worship pastors (who lead people).

How it Works.

Worship Leader Coaching is very different than Worship School. Whereas Worship School is cohort-based and takes 18 months, with Worship Leader Coaching we can dive right in to what’s happening in your context on day one.

Coaching is where we get to bring our experience and expertise to bear on your specific worship leader’s/culture’s particular needs. In some cases, we’re working to level-up the leader to improve their overall worship leadership. In others, we’re working to multiply the life of the leader into dozens of more leaders. In still others we’re helping to foster a community that will write and release their own songs in due time. In any case, we come alongside your leader where they’re currently at and aim to help them get where God’s calling them to go —both personally and professionally.

Once we engage with a church for coaching we’ll work with leadership to identify the most pressing challenges they’d like us to address in the coming months.

The process begins with an initial onsite visit (unless that’s simply cost-prohibitive) where our coach will join you for dinner on Saturday evening, and be present for your Sunday morning activities. We’ll finish the initial onsite with a lunch debrief to clarify the anticipated path of development and from there we’re off and running. Each coaching journey lasts six months.

The Coaching Journey

We’ll meet twice a month (or monthly, if you so choose) on zoom calls.

Because every leader is unique, no two journeys are the same. Each month will have assigned work for the worship leader to complete, tailored to your vision and goals. These could include reading assignments, video viewings, essays, podcasts, blogs, etc. We will expect the worship leader to complete all assignments and come to our sessions ready to discuss and do some work.

Please note that we’re readily available outside of our formal monthly sessions for calls, questions, or spot checks throughout the coaching journey as well.

Onsite 2 and/or Continued Coaching

The first journey concludes with a results review, and your choice of how you’d like to proceed.

One option is a follow-up onsite visit. This onsite is an opportunity to give us a chance to see progress as well as opportunities for further growth. This can look like whatever is most helpful to you—more one-on-one time with your worship leader, group conversations with key leaders, or facilitated discussions in a workshop with your key leaders, or your entire worship team.

Another option: Sometimes the worship leader requests to come do an onsite in Colorado, with us here. This works for us, it just precludes doing any broader work with your team members.

Most clients choose to engage for another six months of coaching at this point, with or without a follow-up onsite. Momentum can really pick up as we wrap the first journey. We can make the most progress with bi-weekly coaching for at least two six-month terms.

As long as our services are useful to you, we’re happy to continue serving in partnership with you. We’ll also understand if you’ve gotten what you’ve needed and our coaching is no longer necessary.
